Los Angeles, CA – The Robin McGraw Revelation Foundation along with Pivot and Students of the World (SOW) have revealed an innovative program, called the #iASPIRE Grant Contest, where students will be able to receive up to $5000 in funding to promote an end to sexual abuse.

According to this press release, students will “raise awareness of the issue of sexual violence on university campuses across the country, and highlight student initiatives to prevent issues such as sexual assault, abuse and harassment.”

From now until October 15, students will be able to send in their ideas to www.studentsoftheworld.org/inspire/ and eventually share their vision with the rest of the world.

Out of all the winners in the contest, Robin McGraw will invite one student to speak at an airing of the Dr. Phil television show.

Statistical data exhibits that one out of five women on a college campus experience some type of sexual abuse. McGraw frowns in response to this statement:

“I think this is unacceptable. I want to amplify the great work students are doing on college campuses to make a difference and raise awareness of how people can protect themselves and be a part of the solution around sexual violence.”

With 80,000 downloads and rising, students are encouraged to download Aspire News after filling out the application. This application, which is free to download from the app store and recognized on Capitol Hill by the National Health Collaborative, is designed to help students in the event of a domestic violence encounter.

Included in one of top two apps of 2014 in ending domestic violence, Aspire News can greatly benefit students who face danger.

The press release states that the user will be able to “create pre-written or text voice messages to be sent to designated numbers with the tap of a button.” In addition to this, the user of the app will be able to record these encounters.
