The Project Coordinator is responsible for daily defining, planning, services contracting, and scheduling activities for moderately complex software implementation projects in accordance to established specifications and standards. Works very closely with the project management team on the prerequisite phases of the implementation process before handoff to the Project Manager and Implementation Resource(s). Customer care interaction for pre-project tasks, post training follow-ups, and project close out processes. Supports departmental goals and initiatives with administrative tasks and reporting. This position is a part of a fast paced group with a high volume of email and phone interaction.
Primary Responsibilities
Contract Administration of New agreements, Project Change Requests, etc.
Critical and primary point of contact in beginning phases of the project life cycle.
Effective and timely interaction and communication with clients, and drive your team to accomplish tasks on schedule and on budget.
Establish, promote, and maintain departmental procedures that support project management standards and guidelines, as defined by the Director of Professional Services. Ensure that approved methods, processes, and tools are consistently used.
Eagerness to learn technical concepts, no requirement to become the technical subject matter expert.
Monitor performance of team resources with respect to time tracking against projects.
Effective and timely interaction and communication with internal clients throughout all levels of the organization.
Establish, promote, and maintain departmental procedures that support project management standards and guidelines, as defined by the Director of Professional Services. Ensure that approved methods, processes, and tools are consistently used.
Provide escalation management. Identify and control interdependencies between concurrent projects to prevent downstream problems.
Weekly and monthly reporting responsibilities.
Negotiate with Department Managers.
0-10% travel.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination (software/IT experience a plus)
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience plus professional certification desirable
Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate competence in program planning, scheduling, and management of multiple, concurrent programs in geographically dispersed locations is essential.
Demonstrate pro-active, results-driven team approach
Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Proficient typing skills
Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work autonomously with executives, managers, and individual contributors at all levels
Contract Administration experience a plus
