Position Title: RF Technician
Job Type: Full time position
Location: Ophir RF, Inc., 5300 Beethoven St., Los Angeles, CA
Work Arrangement: On-site only
SCOPE OF POSITION
RF Technician needed to fulfill RF test and measurements of radio frequency (RF) power amplifiers. This position will involve board, module and system level performance tuning, test and verification. The technician will be responsible for independently conducting test measurements, troubleshooting and re-working at board, module and system level.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work independently and/or under the guidance of the Test Manager, Responsible Engineers and/or Senior Technicians on:
- The testing and tuning of RF Modules.
- Setting up a work station for measurements based on Frequency and Power.
- Creating and running Acceptance Test Reports (ATR's)
- Other daily activities as seen fit by the Test Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Must have at least an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Or in the process of receiving one). Bachelors Degree is preferred.
MUST have a minimum of 1-3 years practical/school lab experience with basic electronics. Experience in RF test and measurement techniques of RF electronics and systems, and RF test and measurement techniques are preferred.
Excellent soldering skills and Ability to do re-work with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Thru-Hole components are preferred.
Must be proficient in schematic and PCB layout interpretation.
General knowledge and hands-on experience in RF/electrical measurement equipment.
Equipment used: Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Digital Multi Meter, Variable Power Supplies, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, Pulse Generator, and Noise Figure Meter.
Be proficient in MS office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Must be able to learn quickly, work well alone and with others.
Good verbal communication skills and ability to write reports and present results are a big plus.
