The Senate approved the final version of the first overhaul of the U.S. tax code in over 30 years early Wednesday morning, a major legislative win for President Trump and Congressional Republicans.

CNN reports, “The bill passed along party lines, 51-48 with the final result announced by Vice President Mike Pence who presided over the vote. Senator Jeff Flake, the last undeclared Republican, voted for the bill.”

The House passed the bill earlier Tuesday, but technical changes were made and there will be a re-vote Wednesday where it is expected to pass again.

The new tax system will go into effect in just 12 days and everyone from the IRS to accountants to the rich are scrambling to figure out how the law will impact them. Politico reports, “payroll companies are bracing for confusion as they figure out new withholding rules that will affect millions of American paychecks.”

MISSOURI COLLEGE STUDENT FINISHED HER FINALS WHILE SHE WAS IN LABOR

This picture of Nayzi Thomas was taken by her mother and posted on Twitter. (Image: Twitter)

Nayzia Thomas, a sophomore at Johnson County Community College, was really determined to finish her semester. So determined in fact, that she completed her psychology exam while in a hospital bed. She gave birth to her son, Anthony, a little than 12 hours later.

Yahoo! reported that, instead of putting off her final psych exam, Thomas decided to complete her assignment on time.

“It wasn’t due until the end of the week,”  Thomas told Yahoo! “But my goal was to try to have everything done before. [I thought] before all this gets crazy, let me hurry up and finish this final.”

Not only did she finish, she earned a 3.5 this semester. That’s what you call focus.

Facebook is rolling out a new feature called Photo Review that aims to give you more control of any image of you that has been uploaded to the social media platform.

The new feature will “alert you when your face shows up in newly posted photos so you can tag yourself, leave it be, ask the uploader to take the photo down, or report it to Facebook,” according to TechCrunch.

Facebook has set up different kinds of alerts, so that users who upload photos in a private or limited mode still have protection. But you will be notified of every public posts that contains an untagged photo of you. And there will be a page that will keep track of all your untagged but recognized photos.
